On December 31, 2010, after a grueling nine-month merger process, I left the job I had loved for six years, a job that had been my professional fulfillment. I was in charge of Marketing and Sales for an American company.
Due to the physical and mental exhaustion of this merger, I decided to take a sabbatical to figure out where I would begin my new life. On July 10, 2011, life’s “coincidences” brought me back to you, María Murillo, a classmate from Tecnológico de Monterrey, through Facebook. Something about you resonated with me, and I read your entire biography on that page. From there, I went to your website and contacted you minutes later. I didn’t know exactly what “Life Coaching” was at that time, but I knew I had to be a part of it.
After our first contact, we agreed to begin a coaching process, and that was my first step toward a new life.
I don’t remember how many sessions we had, but through them, I gained clarity on discovering a new purpose in my life: to become a coach and to be able to guide people toward achieving their goals, just as you did for me. Your support during my own certification, your incredible warmth that makes it impossible to believe you’re on the other side of the world, all those powerful conversations and questions made me fall in love with this path. Even completing one of the most complex coaching certifications didn’t stop me because I was so clear about the goal we discovered together in our sessions.
Thank you, Maria, for your time, your example, your support, and above all, for being the great inspiration you are to me. I hope to touch people the way you have touched my heart and my life.
I LOVE YOU, MARIA, and I have no words to express my gratitude for every moment we shared and for you being a part of my life and my story.
