I want to thank Maria for guiding me through this coaching process. For me, it was a different experience from what I normally do in my day-to-day life. Because of my job, I’m used to solving problems, making decisions, taking care of pending tasks, and often working under pressure. I think that this very dynamic makes you get used to moving forward and leaves little room to stop and think about yourself. This process helped me precisely to pause. More than learning concepts, it helped me question some things I took for granted and better understand how I react to different situations. Some of the tools made a lot of sense to me because I was able to apply them to real-life situations in my life and work. The belief exercise was particularly important for me. It helped me identify thoughts and ways of acting that sometimes limit me and that I had probably repeated for a long time without questioning them. I also really enjoyed working with the Treasure Map and the Wheel of Life because they helped me put different areas of my life into perspective and not focus solely on my professional life. I think one of the main lessons I learned was understanding that it’s not all about controlling, solving, or getting things done. It’s also important to recognize what you feel, listen to what you need, and give yourself time to work on yourself. I can’t say that everything changed overnight after the coaching, but I can say that today I have more tools and, above all, a greater awareness of many of my decisions and how I face situations.
And now comes the hard part: what am I going to do without María? 😂 The truth is that those sessions also became a space to let everything out. Between pending tasks, problems, decisions, and the pressure of daily life, having a moment to talk, organize my thoughts, and simply vent has become something I’m going to miss. I wish we could invent a kind of “emergency button” for coaching for those days when you’re overwhelmed, with a million things on your mind, and you need 30 minutes to breathe, talk, and reorganize your thoughts. I think it would be a tool that many of us would appreciate.
I thank Maria for the way she guided the process, for her patience, her questions, and for helping me see things from a different perspective. I’m left with a very positive experience and with tools that I believe I can continue to apply both personally and professionally.
Thank you, Maria, for accompanying me on this journey. And thank you also for those spaces, that without noticing, became being an important part of my week.
