Eduardo Pelaez Arzate – Marketing and Sales

I was truly overwhelmed, in poor physical, moral, spiritual, and self-esteem condition; I was about to take the easy way out: escapism, from which recovery is very painful and leaves behind a lot of resentment and guilt, because the world is to blame, not me, even though I am the author of my own life.

At that moment, I knew I would hit rock bottom, and in doing so, I would harm myself, and that would simply drag down my sensitive and intelligent wife and the two people who chose me to teach them about life, and whom I am now, because they are children, to guide so they can be happy, conscious, and live in the present. I got a little ahead of myself with some of the things that are the reason we are alive, well, that’s how it is.

Returning to the main point, I was no longer happy with my behavior and being, on the verge, as I said, of hitting rock bottom, of escaping into some kind of escape. My first escape was on the internet; I signed up for Facebook, looking for new contacts, supposedly friends. However, I found many familiar faces; we were connected by our shared history and the coldness of the internet. I learned that one of those people I had met 10 years ago—María Murillo—was there, so I reached out and was pleasantly surprised when I learned more about her. I discovered she had decided to change and pursue her passion…

What I read and saw on her website was like a lightbulb going off in my face; it was a real eye-opener. It made me question everything, and I decided I wouldn’t allow myself to be an automaton—insensitive, unconscious, disinterested—and that I was denying myself the great joy of living and enjoying this wonderful life. So I went back to see María, called her, and we had our first session, focused on understanding each other and even setting some ground rules. During the session, my perspective shifted (I admit my ego was telling me, “No way!”). Simply entering into a dynamic where she, with her knowledge and her way of conducting herself, gradually revived within me, through exercises, what I truly desire. This comes after several sessions, which are key to strengthening who I’ve always been.

Due to family circumstances, I needed to fit into groups I wanted to belong to, like at school or work, and in any situation, I would create various masks with great skill, almost chameleon-like, and I would think, “If I used this energy to be who I truly am, I would be fulfilled, happy, and loving.”

Anyway, today I give myself the opportunity every day, and I realize that by practicing, being grateful, and taking action, I am a different and better person—to myself, to my wife, to my children, and to everyone I interact with.

Maria, I thank you for helping me see myself as a successful person, someone who deserves what I have and who lives with the understanding that there are cycles, and these cycles help me mature, learn, and become better, with the mission of fully enjoying life.

I invite you to give yourselves the opportunity to have a Life Coach and be one with yourself, because the person who knows you best is yourself!
