I was at the office during my lunch break, reading a magazine, when I came across María’s interview. Her story and her description of what a “coach” is really caught my attention, so I didn’t waste any time. I jotted down her information and contacted her for an initial interview.
I wanted to know how she was able to shift her career path to such an inspiring activity as coaching because I wanted to do something similar. At the same time, I wanted her support in guiding me through the steps toward my own career change.
I was going through a very stressful time because I felt trapped in an activity that, while it had given me many benefits, didn’t exactly inspire me to express my full potential.
Maria guided me through a more structured process to review all areas of my life, not just my professional life. She enabled me to become aware of all the aspects I needed to work on personally and improve, while at the same time empowering me and reminding me that I am the one who has the power to choose and take control of my destiny.
When I experienced firsthand the benefits of coaching, through a coach who saw all my potential and possibilities for continued growth, I decided to follow in her footsteps. During the process, I learned ways to better understand myself, my weaknesses, my strengths, and my limiting beliefs, which greatly helped me break paradigms and begin to believe and act differently.
Currently, I am already trained to be a coach, I continue my training, and I am already beginning this new chapter in a concrete way. I feel confident and I am grateful to Maria for her role in my life.
