I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I had quit my job because I was overwhelmed by a mix of conflicting emotions, the most prominent of which was a deep dislike for my daily work. I felt immense discomfort toward all the people I had to serve; nothing made me feel happy or enjoyable like before. During more than 18 years of professional experience in Human Resources, my passion had been extinguished, and along with it, I felt a great deal of guilt for experiencing these emotions.
On the other hand, this feeling of unhappiness spread to my personal life. I had drifted so far apart from my partner that I didn’t even realize it, and I was also completely isolated from my family and friends because I didn’t want to see anyone.
This poor control of my emotions led me to have intense panic attacks, requiring me to spend some time in the hospital and subsequently recover at home.
That’s when I sought help. I tried psychologists, alternative medicine, and other options until, in my search, I found Maria. I had heard a little about the process, so I decided to embark on this journey of self-discovery with the guidance of a wonderful professional.
Maria, with her warm, simple, and friendly approach, helped me reconnect with myself, identify the negative belief system I had always nurtured, and build new beliefs and life alternatives.
Her invaluable help enabled me to recognize the worth of myself as a person, executive, friend, wife, and daughter, and to love myself just as I AM! I want to emphasize that in the process I found many tools to learn how to manage my emotions and reduce my depressive levels. I was able to objectively see and accept the barriers that were preventing me from moving forward.
Something truly beautiful and valuable about this process is having reconnected with my TRUE SELF and, above all, with my spirituality. It’s also about taking responsibility for everything that was limiting me, so I can work on it with love, and as she always says, ONE DAY AT A TIME, understanding that the answers lie within me and that I depend only on myself and no one else to move forward and always be happy.
Today, I know there’s still much work to be done on myself, but unlike before, I now have invaluable tools that strengthen me every time I use them. Today, I recognize myself as more flexible, someone who can make decisions more freely and focus on what truly matters in this life, which is so wonderful!
Thank you, my friend Maria, you are a very special person in my life.
